We started because we needed this ourselves

Pet Home Delivery grew out of a bulldog breeding programme. Placing puppies with families across the country meant handing animals to couriers and hoping — and too often finding out afterwards that a puppy had spent a night in a facility, or been passed between three drivers, or arrived without the paperwork the buyer needed.

So we started doing it ourselves. One handler, one vehicle, one animal's journey at a time. Then other breeders asked, and then their buyers asked, and here we are.

The rules we run on are the ones we wanted when we were on the other side of the transaction: never cargo, never a transfer between drivers, never an animal alone overnight, and never a customer left wondering where their pet is.

• Handlers, not gig driversEvery handler is trained on crating, temperature, animal stress signals and what to do in a veterinary emergency.
• Records keptEvery journey is logged: collection time, each stop, temperature, feeding, handover. Available to you afterwards if you ever need it.
